Your Mentor
Lucinda (Cindy) Wolford
I began my journey as a cleaning professional the same way many others do: out of necessity. Facing a divorce, I struggled to find good-paying employment after being a stay-at-home mom for over nine years. Regardless of having an Undergraduate Degree and a Master’s in Business Administration, taking time off from the workforce seriously cut into my ability to find meaningful work.
Never one to sit and wait for life to come to me, I decided to clean houses professionally, knowing that this would pay well and allow me the necessary time to spend with my children while also being home in the evening and on weekends.
Once I had my mindset, within 12 weeks, I had successfully grown my client list to capacity, and I had hired my first employee.
Since January of 2015, I have grown my business to include 12 employees, a full-time office manager, and over $25,000 per month in regular revenues. While still not the most significant competitor on the streets, the growth was steady and manageable in a little over four years.
One of the biggest lessons I learned from this experience is finding success means you have to look outside yourself for advice, pointers, and suggestions; whether this is from mentors or coaches, you’re worth the investment!
